My Go To Travel Planning Apps

According to Expedia’s Deprivation study, Americans get less time off than anyone else in the world. 63% of U.S adults felt vacation deprived, yet 45% of Americans still left nearly half of their vacation days unused. The most common reason why…money concerns. But, travel doesn't have to be expensive and the booking process doesn’t have to be stressful.

Here are a few of my favorite apps and websites I use to find the best travel deals.

Tripmasters offers a wide range of travel packages, including flights, accommodations, and activities, allowing travelers to customize their itineraries according to their preferences and budget. Didn't find a package you like? Create your own. The possibilities are endless. I have used Tripmasters to plan several of my European vacations.

Going (formerly Scott’s Cheap Flights) is the easiest way to track flight deals. Choose your departure airport and select a few destinations to receive alerts on. When the price drops you will get an alert. Going keeps an eye on airfare to over 900 destinations around the world.

Hopper is a great way to know when to book flights, and hotels at the most favorable prices. Featuring exclusive flash deals, this app unlocks significant savings for your travel adventures.

Omio is one of the best travel planner apps if you are traveling across Europe. It’s a must-have for anyone who prefers rail and bus transportation for their trips. The app simplifies the process of finding and booking train and bus tickets. You can also compare airline tickets with train tickets, because more often than not, flights are more affordable than taking the train.

Wanderlog is among the best travel planner apps you’ll ever need. It’s the perfect tool for anyone planning a vacation or a road trip. Its integrated itinerary and map make organizing your travel plans easier than ever. Also, it enables real-time itinerary sharing and collaboration with friends.

Splitwise is the easiest way to share expenses with friends and family, and stop stressing about “who owes who”. This is a game changer for working out costs on group trips. Everyone in the party signs up, and then you simply enter your expenses as you go, with a description of what it was (flights, accommodation, food, etc) and who it needs to be split between.

In short, Americans might get less vacation time than others, but there's no need to despair. With handy apps like the ones above, we can still make the most of our time off without breaking the bank. Let's ditch the stress and start exploring the world, because every vacation day counts!
